Description
This material gathered in ten years of German air war history, provided the author with a great opportunity to portray the development of a special genre within the Luftwaffe – the destroyer. It was of great benefit to the author that Herbert Schob an aviator who was there at the beginning and advanced from soldier to Hauptmann and Knight’s Cross bearer, had been able to preserve all his books through the turmoil of the war and the postwar era.
